Legacy Investment Technology Loan Fund (LIFT)
Application Window Closes July 25, 2025
This program is a loan fund that supports technology advancement for commercialization of intellectual property in North Dakota.
Eligible Industries:
Advanced computing and data management
Agriculture technology
Autonomous and unmanned vehicles and related technologies
Energy
Health care
Value-added agriculture
Value-added energy
Any industry or area specifically identified by the committee as an industry that will contribute to the diversification of the state’s economy.
Funds may be used for research, experimentation, or operational testing. Please see the ND Department of Commerce website for more information!
Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation Grant Round
Open now through July 25, the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation’s grant round addresses community needs with a focus on:
Basic Human Needs
Education
Arts
Community Building
First Responders
Behavioral Health
Nonprofits in Barnes, Griggs, and Ransom Counties are encouraged to apply. The application is available on the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation’s website.
Valley City Image Enhancement Grant
Funded through sales tax funds, the Image Enhancement Grant through the City of Valley City is intended to assist qualified businesses with improvements that enhance the overall image of the community. This grant program provides up to 50% of the project cost with a maximum of $7,500 ($2,000 limit for sign replacement). For those looking to maintain/restore the historical appearance of their building, the grant can cover up to 50% of the project cost with a maximum of $30,000 (preservation guidelines can be found on the City website). Projects must be visible from Main Street or Central Avenue and cannot be for landscaping. Ineligible applicants include:
Government/Quasi-Government Agencies
Churches
Non-Profit Healthcare Organizations
Housing Entities
VC Public Schools
VC Park District
